External Opportunities/Internships

This is a list of organizations and think tanks that offer internships that might be of interest to you. All descriptions are their own. If you know of others that would be of interest to you, please let us know. If any turn out not to be real options or something that wouldn’t after all be of interest to you, please let us know that as well. In the meantime, we hope that the list will be useful to those who are considering internships.

AEI “The American Enterprise Institute is a public policy think tank dedicated to defending human dignity, expanding human potential, and building a freer and safer world. We work to make the voices of working people heard in the White House, on Capitol Hill, in state capitals across the country and in corporate boardrooms”

The Ayn Rand Institute “The Ayn Rand Institute works to introduce young people to Ayn Rand’s novels, to support scholarship and research based on her ideas, and to promote the principles of reason, rational self-interest, individual rights and laissez-faire capitalism to the widest possible audience.”

The Brookings Institute “The Brookings Institution is a nonprofit public policy organization based in Washington, DC. Our mission is to conduct high-quality, independent research and, based on that research, to provide innovative, practical recommendations that advance three broad goals: Strengthen American democracy; Foster the economic and social welfare, security and opportunity of all Americans; and Secure a more open, safe, prosperous and cooperative international system.”

Center for Security Policy “For twenty-five years, the Center for Security Policy has pioneered the organization, management and direction of public policy coalitions to promote U.S. national security. Even more importantly, the Center’s mission has been to secure the adoption of the products of such efforts by skillfully enlisting support from executive branch officials, key legislators, other public policy organizations, opinion-shapers in the media and the public at large.”

The Claremont institute “The mission of the Claremont Institute is to restore the principles of the American Founding to their rightful, preeminent authority in our national life. These principles are expressed most eloquently in the Declaration of Independence, which proclaims that “all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.” To recover the founding principles in our political life means recovering a limited and accountable government that respects private property, promotes stable family life, and maintains a strong national defense.”

The Competitive Enterprise Institute “The Competitive Enterprise Institute is a non-profit public policy organization dedicated to advancing the principles of limited government, free enterprise, and individual liberty. Our mission is to promote both freedom and fairness by making good policy good politics. We make the uncompromising case for economic freedom because we believe it is essential for entrepreneurship, innovation, and prosperity to flourish.”

The Constitution Project “Created out of the belief that we must cast aside the labels that divide us in order to keep our democracy strong, The Constitution Project brings together policy experts and legal practitioners from across the political spectrum to foster consensus-based solutions to the most difficult constitutional challenges of our time.”

United Economic Development Fund has a clear vision for a world in which financial capital is utilized to address societal needs. The organization seeks to work collaboratively with stakeholders and take on more significant financial risks to amplify social impact. United Economic Development Fund aims to create economies that prioritize the well-being of people and the planet and utilizes investments as catalytic capital to enable markets to serve societies instead of subjugating them.

The challenges posed by climate change, food insecurity, inequality, energy poverty, and the looming threat of pandemics demand funding on a massive scale that surpasses the capacity of philanthropy and government funding alone. The Innovative Finance team strives to overcome funding gaps and tackle these global issues by stimulating private capital at a significant scale through innovative financing solutions and forging new partnerships.

United Economic Development Fund has a long-term investment horizon and has the ability to bear the risk and accommodate short-term volatility, hence, it is a force for stability in financial markets. We have a commercial-driven mindset that invests only in endeavors with clearly defined profitability targets.

The aim is to create self-reliant economies and reduce member countries' dependence on external resources by promoting economic diversification.
