India rural digital public infrastructure programme reaches milestone
The $600M programme extends identity, payments, and data rails to rural districts.
The coalition’s $600 million rural digital public infrastructure programme in India has reached its mid-programme milestone, extending identity, payments, and data rails to a further tranche of rural districts.
Independent monitoring confirms uptake ahead of schedule, with local institutions now operating the stack under the programme’s capacity-development component.
The remaining tranches are scheduled through the next two fiscal years.
